Developmental Meet Schedule

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A MEET
Age-group track meets move slowly because of the number events being offered.  We suggest you come prepared.  Bring lunches, warm and dry clothing, umbrellas, seat pads, blankets, books, sunglasses, lotion, stop watches, binoculars, camera, and your sense of humor .  There is normally a snack stand.  At the meets we will sit together as a club.  As the announcer calls out the event, the athlete must report as instructed so you must listen closely.  Athletes are eligible in the developmental meets simply by showing up. In the regional and national meets there are qualifying standards and pre-registration is required.  The developmental meets in the beginning of the season are to provide the athlete the opportunity to try different events.   We encourage all our members to take part in the Junior Olympics State meet.  Eligibility for the regional and national meets are based on performance at the State JO Meet.

WHAT ARE MEET ENTRANCE FEES?
Typically for the development meets the cost is around $5.00.  For State, JO meets, and beyond the entrance costs are typically $6.00 per event.  Athletes are limited to three or four events depending on age.  These costs are the responsibility of the athletes.
